oh my goodness!

well, i don't know how it happened or why it hasn't happened before. But i have TRIED to log into this blog, yes, MY blog, and ever since i ok'd this google thing, i messed up the mo-jo and could never get back on here. So, i could never leave comments on others' blogs, i couldn't update mine... wretched! but alas, here i am, again.

so... i'm kind of a rockstar now. well.. a rockabilly star. ok, so really i just sing in a band a little bit. but i sure do love it. you can see us perform if you check the schedule at jackknifesharps.com i would love to see you at a show!

so i realize that, well, i've never shown a picture of my hubbun. he is precious and takes emensly good care of me. he also is apparently much better at spelling than myself and that goes for grammer too since he just mucho edited my blog. i will have you know, that he raised no ruckos about the lack of his mug, however, i kinda want him to see it, next time he decides to play editer. te he. it will be like, "hey, looky here lover o' mine" then he will want to grab me and kiss me and stay in a passionate embrace for hours!! or.... he might be a little more leniant on my lack of englishing skills.

let us just ponder how much we love ..us, because we are, well, fun! hmm..... yep! that's a lot of love.

the lady's pictured are Sue Kuta (aka skuta) and linda. Both lady's are a big part of Heritage theatre to me. Linda was the costumer that made all the hats too and then skuta ran the light board but has been stage manager there several times. love them both!

boy, do we have some catching up to do!!

well, i have a new job, i love it. I am weight loss counselor for Slim4life. Our clients come in about 3 times a week and i weigh them and then visit with them about their weight loss and their challenges. I get to encourage them and celebrate with them and give them advice to do better! All the while sharing the same experience. It's been such a good job for me. I am not in a show currently. I'll have to se what i can do come the beginning of next year once my new job kinda irons out and i can get a bit more flexibilty in my schedule. so... in the meantime.. i sing down at Nye's to get my thrills and dance to my own drummer..of course. I've also just started taking piano lessons from a lady in my church! today was my first real lesson and i rocked her socks off!! i can't wait til my first recital!!

Here I am, Building a House!!

Ok, that's not really, me, it wasn't that hot out. i am the one getting crazy with the hammer there, the same hammer that hit my thumb--bastart! the short, red-headed guy on the left is my paster, the tall guy in the middle is a guy that goes to my church. the old lady is just cute and 80!! and helping build houses! the picture of the house is how much the volunteers got up by the SECOND DAY!! seriously, all that was there was the foundation and all the rest had been built in two days! It is a build throug Thrivent Builds which is a partnership with Habitat for Humanity. It was fun, i will doing it again in july.

So, I cannot really tell you all the reasons I did not like the position of financial associate, but I can show you a few of the reasons why I liked coming to work. The people you are about to see in these pictures are such wonderful people and I will miss them. Yes, i have resigned from being a financial associate. I was getting myself ill over the stress. (that's what we call "no beuno.") I'm glad I tried it, I learned a lot and met wonderful people, but I guess it just wasn't right for me, so what can you do but move on? Apparently 1 out of every 10 people who try this profession don't make it past the first year. Thrivent's ratio is 4 out of 10. I do so hate being a part of a negative ratio, but... in a way, it makes me feel better I'm not the only one with a 6 month job on the ol' resume.
"Sooo...now what are you going to do?" you may be asking. well... "He's got the whole world, in His hands.." In other words, we'll see.
